🇳🇵 IS IT SAFE TO TREK IN NEPAL RIGHT NOW?

We understand the concerns of travelers following the recent devastating floods in northern Nepal.

Yes ,trekking in several of Nepal’s major trekking regions can continue, while the affected Langtang/Rasuwa area should currently be avoided.

Based on the latest information available:

🏔️ Annapurna Region — Trekking continues
🏔️ Everest Region — Trekking continues
🏔️ Manaslu Region — Trekking continues, subject to current local conditions
🏔️ Dolpo Region — Trekking continues, subject to current local conditions
⚠️ Langtang/Rasuwa Region — NOT recommended at present due to severe flood damage and ongoing risks

The recent disaster has severely affected the Bhote Koshi Rasuwa corridor, including roads, bridges and infrastructure, and rescue operations are still ongoing (Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

This means the situation in Langtang should not be taken as a reflection of all trekking regions across Nepal. Nepal is a large country, and trekking conditions vary considerably between regions.

At Himalayan Gateway Trek, we continue to monitor trail, road and weather conditions closely and will only operate trips where we are confident that the route can be undertaken responsibly.

If you are planning to trek in Nepal, you do not necessarily need to cancel your trip. Choose your destination carefully, check the latest conditions, and travel responsibly 🇳🇵❤️

For the safety of all pilgrims and travelers returning from Gosaikunda, we strongly advise everyone to avoid the regular Dhunche route (old route) until further notice.

⚠️ Please do not attempt to travel through the old route.

All returning pilgrims and tourists are requested to use only the officially designated alternate route and follow the instructions of local authorities and security personnel.

Your safety is our highest priority. Please stay informed, travel carefully, and share this notice with anyone currently returning from Gosaikunda.

🚨 LATEST UPDATE FROM RASUWA, NEPAL

According to the Nepal Tourism Board, 590 domestic and international tourists are currently out of contact following the severe floods in Rasuwa.

The number includes 476 foreign tourists and 114 Nepali tourists.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this devastating situation. We sincerely hope that all those currently out of contact are safe and will be reunited with their families and loved ones soon.

We urge everyone to stay informed, follow official safety guidance, and avoid unnecessary travel to affected areas.

หลายท่านอาจจะสงสัยว่าจะได้รับผลกระทบกับรูท Langtang มากน้อยเพียงใด?
🔹 ณ ตอนนี้ที่แน่ๆ คือ ถนนที่จะต้องใช้เดินทางไป Syabrubeshi ยังไม่สามารถใช้งานได้ แต่จะเป็นในจุดไหนบ้าง ต้องรอทางเจ้าหน้าที่อัปเดต เพราะตอนนี้หนักหน่วงที่สุดคือการเร่งกู้ภัยช่วยผู้ประสบภัย
🔹 สำหรับเรื่องถนนการเดินทาง ว่าจะซ่อมทันไหม สามารถเดินทางไป Syabrubeshi ได้หรือไม่ น่าจะอัปเดตได้ภายในอีกไม่เกิน 1-2 วีค

ทางบริษัทจะพยายามติดตามข่าว ตามสถานการณ์จากคนพื้นที่ทางนั้น และเร่งอัปเดตให้อย่างใกล้ชิด

และถ้าถนนซ่อมไม่ทันเดือนตุลาคมนี้ แผนถัดไปคือ อาจจะต้องเปลี่ยนเส้นทางค่ะ

**เพิ่มเติมนะคะ** ถนนเส้นนี้เป็นเส้นหลักที่คนเนปาลใช้ในการเดินทางไปชายแดนทิเบต ซึ่งจะเป็นถนนที่รัฐบาลจะต้องเร่งซ่อมเพื่อให้เดินทางได้เร็วที่สุดอยู่แล้วค่ะ

🚧 Mugling–Narayanghat Road
🚧 Prithvi Highway
🚧 Galchi–Nuwakot–Rasuwa–Syabrubesi Route

If you are planning to travel through these areas, please postpone your journey until conditions improve and stay updated through official sources.
