“Giving up is not in our blood, Sir.” — Nims

With profound sorrow, we extend our deepest condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of the climbers who tragically lost their lives on Broad Peak.

Their courage, unwavering determination and enduring spirit of exploration will be remembered with the utmost respect and admiration. Their legacy will continue to inspire the global mountaineering community.

We stand in solidarity with all those affected by this heartbreaking tragedy and pray that the departed souls rest in eternal peace. May their families and loved ones find strength, comfort and solace during this difficult time.

On July 30, an avalanche swept down Pakistan’s Broad Peak—the world's twelfth-highest peak—taking ten climbers, including famed British-Nepali climber Nirmal “Nims” Purja, up to a vertical mile down the mountain's main west-facing gulley. A search attempt has been underway, with two bodies recovered so far. The incident has rocked the climbing world and is a reminder of the risks associated with climbing the world's highest peaks.
