350 climbers summit Everest this spring

KATHMANDU, MAY 28 -

There were fewer Everesters during the spring climbing season this year compared to last year, largely due to the short window of good weather.

According to the Tourism Ministry, 145 foreign mountaineers scaled the world’s highest peak, down from 234 in spring 2011. So far, 350 mountaineers have reached the top of Everest while six have lost their lives on its slopes.
