****Everest Base Camp Trek Itinerary****
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Activities: Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport. Transfer to your hotel. Rest and explore Thamel, the tourist hub of Kathmandu.
Overnight: Kathmandu
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
Activities: Visit important landmarks such as Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple. Finalize trek permits and gear.
Overnight: Kathmandu
Day 3: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla, Trek to Phakding (2,610m)
Flight: 30-40 minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla.
Trek: 3-4 hours trek to Phakding.
Overnight: Phakding
Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Trek: 5-6 hours. Ascend through pine forests and cross suspension bridges.
Highlights: View of Thamserku and other peaks.
Overnight: Namche Bazaar
Day 5: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
Activities: Explore Namche Bazaar. Hike to the Everest View Hotel for stunning views of Mount Everest and Ama Dablam.
Overnight: Namche Bazaar
Day 6: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,860m)
Trek: 5-6 hours. Descend through forests and cross the river.
Highlights: Visit Tengboche Monastery, the largest monastery in the Khumbu region.
Overnight: Tengboche
Day 7: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410m)
Trek: 5-6 hours. Cross the Imja Khola and enjoy views of Ama Dablam.
Overnight: Dingboche
Day 8: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche
Activities: Hike to Nangkartshang Peak (5,100m) for panoramic views or rest and explore Dingboche.
Overnight: Dingboche
Day 9: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m)
Trek: 5-6 hours. Pass through the memorials of climbers who lost their lives on Everest.
Overnight: Lobuche
Day 10: Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and return to Gorak Shep (5,164m)
Trek: 7-8 hours. Reach Everest Base Camp, enjoy the stunning views, then return to Gorak Shep for the night.
Overnight: Gorak Shep
Day 11: Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m) and Trek to Pheriche (4,371m)
Activities: Early morning hike to Kala Patthar for sunrise views of Mount Everest. Descend to Pheriche.
Overnight: Pheriche
Day 12: Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
Trek: 6-7 hours. Retrace your steps back to Namche Bazaar.
Overnight: Namche Bazaar
Day 13: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Trek: 6-7 hours. Enjoy the final descent back to Lukla.
Overnight: Lukla
Day 14: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu
Flight: Morning flight back to Kathmandu.
Activities: Spend the day relaxing or exploring more of Kathmandu. Last-minute shopping and cultural experiences.
Overnight: Kathmandu
Day 15: Departure from Kathmandu
Activities: Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
Includes:
Accommodation during the trek is provided in tea houses, which are basic lodges along the route.
You will receive three nights of hotel accommodation in Kathmandu.
The package includes domestic flights from Kathmandu to Lukla and back.
Airport transfers in Kathmandu are covered.
All necessary trekking permits, including the TIMS card and Sagarmatha National Park entrance permit, are included.
An experienced English-speaking guide will accompany you throughout the trek.
Assistance from porters is provided, typically one porter for every two trekkers.
Some trekking equipment, such as sleeping bags and down jackets, may be available for rent through the trekking company.
A first aid kit and basic medical supplies are included for emergencies.
Local taxes and service charges applicable to the trek are covered.
Excludes:
International flights to and from Kathmandu are not included in the package.
Meals in Kathmandu, specifically lunches and dinners, are your responsibility.
Personal expenses, including snacks, drinks, and any additional meals, are not covered.
Travel insurance for trekking and emergencies is not included, but highly recommended.
Extra activities, such as guided tours in Kathmandu or helicopter rides, are not part of the standard itinerary.
Visa fees for entering Nepal are not included and must be obtained separately.
Charges for hot showers and Wi-Fi in tea houses are not included and usually come at an additional cost.
Gratuities for guides and porters are not mandatory but are appreciated and typically expected.
Costs associated with emergency evacuations are not included, so it's advisable to have insurance that covers such scenarios.
