Nepal Association of Tour & Travel Agents (NATTA) NEPAL ASSOCIATION OF TOUR & TRAVEL AGENTS (NATTA) NEPAL ASSOCIATION OF TOUR & TRAVEL AGENTS (NATTA) was established in1966 (2022/11/27 B.S.)

by a group of leading travel agents, who felt that it was the time to work together to formulate sound business principal and to regulate the travel industry in Nepal. The primary purpose of NATTA was to protect the in the interests of those engaged in the travel trade business, to promote its orderly growth and developement, to safeguard the travelling public from exploitation by unreliable agent

s. NATTA is non-political, non-profit making, non-goverenmental pioneer and national association of travel industry in Nepal. It is recognised as the main representative body of tourism industry in Nepal. The number of association's members has been increasing since its establishment. Today, there are more than 450 Active members and 10 Allied Members in NATTA. NATTA also offers provisional Membership.

On 20th May 2026, NATTA President Mr. Kumar Mani Thapaliya participated as a panelist in the “Dissemination and Panel Discussion Program” organized by the Center for Social Innovation and Foreign Policy (CESIF). The discussion focused on strengthening Nepal–India Economic Connectivity through various sectors.

The session featured five distinguished panelists and one moderator, where Mr. Thapaliya highlighted the importance of tourism in enhancing Nepal–India relations. He emphasized areas such as wedding destinations, trekking tourism, cultural tourism and other tourism opportunities between the two countries.

The program also featured an interactive session where participants from the audience raised important questions related to the discussion. The panelists shared their views, clarified key concerns, and highlighted several important measures that governments should implement to further strengthen Nepal–India connectivity and cooperation.

NATTA remains committed to promoting tourism as a key pillar for regional connectivity, economic growth, and cultural exchange.
