Indra Jatra
Indra Jatra, traditionally known as Yenyā, is one of the biggest street festivals in Nepal. The eight-day celebration is, in fact, a collection of two to three celebrations combined into one big festival. The festival begins with Yosin Thanegu, the pole-raising ceremony which is attended by hundreds of devotees. During the festival, the masks of Bhairava are also displayed throughout the eight days. The celebrations coincide with Kumari Jatra where a special chariot carrying the Living Goddess Kumari is pulled along the main areas of Kathmandu.

The celebrations in the Terai region are different from how it is celebrated in the hills and is known as Indra Puja.

Panda
The temperate Himalayan forests of western Nepal are home to a close relative of the beloved giant pandas, the red panda. These tiny herbivores have a distinct reddish-brown fur and a bushy raccoon-like tail. Over the past two decades, interference including poaching, habitat loss and degradation has seen red panda populations drop by almost 50% around the world. As a consequence, these adorable creatures are listed in the IUCN Red List as endangered since 2008. While conservation activities are still in order, you can still catch sight of these beautiful animals on the westernmost borders of Rara National Park in western .
