The Ultimate Ridge: Mardi Himal Trek
We started in the humid forests of Deurali, wondering if the mountains would show up. By the time we reached High Camp (3,580m), we were surrounded by a total whiteout. But the Himalayas always reward the patient.
We pushed off at 4:00 AM for the Upper Viewpoint (4,200m), hiking through thick mist and uncertainty. Then, just as the sun touched the horizon, the clouds broke. Machapuchare (Fishtail) and Annapurna South stood right in front of us in total clarity. From a "grey morning" to a camera roll full of gold—this is the magic of the Mardi ridge. ☁️➡️☀️
