MANASLU 2026: CHOOSING SAFETY OVER THE SUMMIT

Our 2026 Manaslu Expedition has come to an end.

We did not reach the summit this year. After completing two full rotations and reaching 7,100 meters, our team faced increasingly unstable snow, rising avalanche danger, and a forecast of heavy snowfall in the days ahead.

The decision was difficult, but it was clear. Safety of everyone climbing with ACE is our top priority, and our Lead Guide, IFMGA-certified Prakash Sherpa, made the call to end the expedition for the safety of every climber and every team member on the mountain climbing with ACE.

Every client and every member of our Sherpa team is now safe back. For us, that is what a successful expedition ultimately means.

Throughout the expedition, our team showed patience, discipline, and real respect for the mountain, from the rotations to the final decision to turn back. To our climbers and our Sherpa team: thank you for your trust, your patience, and your understanding this season.

We respect the mountain.

Manaslu will still be there next year, and so will we. We look forward to welcoming you back, on the adventures still to come.
