MANASLU SUMMIT ROUTE OPENED | AUTUMN 2026

Today marks an important moment for the Autumn 2026 Manaslu climbing season.
After days of challenging work at high altitude, the Expedition Operators Association Nepal (EOAN) rope-fixing team has completed the route to the summit of Mt. Manaslu (8,163m), opening the way for climbers preparing for their summit attempts this season.
This achievement is the result of dedication, teamwork, and courage from the rope-fixing team:
Chhiring Bhote, Lopsang Bhote, Pam Dorjee Sherpa, Furi Sherpa, Ngima Sherpa, Karma Sarki Sherpa and Pasang Gyaljen Sherpa.
From all of us at 14 Peaks Expedition, our sincere gratitude goes to the entire EOAN team and everyone involved in preparing the mountain for this season's climbers. The work of fixing ropes and preparing the route often happens far from the spotlight, but it creates the foundation that allows hundreds of climbers to safely pursue their dreams on Manaslu.
With the summit route now accessible, our 50+ international climbers and Sherpa team members at 14 Peaks Expedition will begin moving progressively toward the higher camps, following our acclimatization and expedition plans, as weather and mountain conditions allow.
For every climber standing at Manaslu Base Camp, the summit represents more than a point at 8,163 metres. It represents years of preparation, patience, sacrifice and a dream to stand on an 8,000-metre summit.
Thank you to every Sherpa, rope fixer, expedition operator, support staff and member of the EOAN team who has worked to make the mountain accessible for all climbers this season.
