Basic ski Course
2026 February
Gulmarg, Kashmir
Day 1: Arrival & Orientation
Arrive Srinagar airport, transfer to Gulmarg (1.5 hrs). Check into guest house/hotel. Gear fitting, safety briefing, basic snow walk. Evening: Welcome dinner, group intro. Overnight Gulmarg.
Day 2: Ski Basics (Balance & Glide)
Morning instruction: Snowplow turns, straight gliding on gentle slopes. Afternoon practice with instructor (1:2 ratio). Dinner included. Overnight Gulmarg.
Day 3: Turning Techniques
Focus: Side slipping, basic parallel turns. Drills on beginner piste. Video analysis session. Relaxed evening meal. Overnight Gulmarg.
Day 4: Speed Control & Linking Turns
Build confidence: Hockey stops, linked snowplow turns. Group runs, fun rides . Overnight Gulmarg.
Day 5: Intro to Intermediate
Gradient practice: Stem christie turns, uphill skinning basics. Free ski time post-lesson. Cultural dinner (Kashmiri wazwan). Overnight Gulmarg.
Day 6: Slope Mastery & Free Day
Refine skills: Dynamic turns, mogul intro. Half-day lesson, afternoon free for repeat gondola or rest. Overnight Gulmarg.
Day 7: Advanced Beginner Runs
Challenge: Off-piste edges, variable snow. Skill certification possible. Evening bonfire/review. Overnight Gulmarg.
Day 8: Review & Fun Ski
Full-day free skiing with optional guiding. Graduation pics, farewell dinner. Overnight Gulmarg.
Day 9: Departure
Morning optional ski, checkout. Transfer to Srinagar airport. Ends with new skills for future freeride.
