Manaslu Tragedy
A tragic incident has occurred on Mount Manaslu (8,163 m) during the autumn climbing season.
Indian-origin German climber Dhruba Jyoti Guha and Nepali Sherpa guide Fursemba Sherpa, both 47, lost their lives after an overnight avalanche struck and buried their tent at Camp III.
As weather conditions deteriorated, six other climbers from their expedition turned back, while Guha and Sherpa continued towards the higher camp. Rescue teams later found them buried under several feet of snow.
The incident brings the reported autumn-season death toll on Mount Manaslu to four.

Welcome to Nepal, Miranda & AK! 🙏

Our guide Amar warmly welcomed Miranda and AK from the USA to Kathmandu last night. Today, the excitement begins as they prepare for their incredible Everest Base Camp Trek!

Tomorrow morning, the team will take a direct flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and begin their trek toward the base camp of Mount Everest, the highest mountain on the planet.

Over the next 8 days, they’ll journey through the beautiful Khumbu region, passing through legendary Sherpa villages and breathtaking Himalayan landscapes before reaching Everest Base Camp at 5,364 meters (17,598 feet). And it will take 3-4 days to bring them back to KTM!

Wishing Miranda, AK, and the team an unforgettable adventure! 🏔️
