One of the major highlights is crossing the Larkya La Pass (5,106 m), a challenging but highly rewarding section of the trek. From the pass, trekkers can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges before descending toward the Marsyangdi Valley and joining the Annapurna region.
Because the Manaslu region is a restricted trekking area, the trek requires special permits and must be undertaken under the applicable government regulations, making it a relatively pristine and less crowded alternative to some of Nepal’s more established trekking routes.
