5 Reasons You Should NEVER Trek to Annapurna Base Camp
The views are emotionally abusive. Standing in a 360° amphitheater of 8,000m giants will ruin every sunset, hill, and horizon for the rest of your life. Your local park will look like a sad dirt pile. Your eyes can’t handle this level of drama.
Machhapuchhre is a total tease. The “Fishtail” peak sits there looking entirely too perfect, completely unbothered, and totally off-limits to climbers. Who gave a mountain permission to be that photogenic?! 📸✨
Rhododendron sensory overload. Go in spring and you’re forced to hike through aggressive, neon-pink blooming forests. Nature is trying way too hard, and frankly, it’s embarrassing for regular trees.
Dal Bhat brainwashing. They whisper “Dal Bhat power, 24 hour” and suddenly you’re powering up 3,000 stone steps fueled purely by lentils, rice, and delusion. Your legs will forget how flat ground works.
Disgustingly wholesome vibes. You expect a harsh survival mission, but end up huddled around a tea house stove, drinking ginger-lemon tea, and accidentally making lifelong friends from 6 different continents. Terrifying.
Save yourself the trouble. Stay home, stare at a flat wall, and protect your eyes from the sheer disrespect of the Nepalese Himalayas. 😉 Nepalese coffee hits better anyway.
