**GIS based Multicriteria Analysis Tool to assist Drones For Medical Cargo Delivery - Final Dissemination Workshop**

We successfully completed a half-day workshop with the focal persons from the health departments of five palikas from Kavrepalanchowk district, held at Doleswhor Resort, Suryabinayak. The workshop was graced by the presence of Mr. Kiran Thapa, Health Minister of Bagmati Province, Mr. Ram Sharan Bhandari, Mayor of Panauti Municipality, Dr. Prakash Budhathoki, Spokeperson from the Ministry of Health, and Mrs. Rageshri Kachhapati Shrestha, Chief District Health Officer of Kavrepalanchok District Public Health Office.

In addition to supporting the planning of medical cargo drone interventions through customizable prameters and indicators, the GIS-based tool can be utilized by healthcare organizations to conduct assessments across multiple thematic areas such as human resource status, infrastructure status, and more.

Nepal Flying Labs will continue refining the tool and will pitch it to organizations within and outside of Nepal.

**Scholarship Opportunity: Funding to Attend the Commercial UAV Expo**

This scholarship will provide three students with the opportunity to attend the Commercial UAV Expo, including a full conference pass, mentorship matching, hotel accommodations, and a travel stipend.

This scholarship program aims to empower and support university students passionate about utilizing drones for good and strives to create an inclusive, diverse, and accepting community of professionals in the commercial drone industry.

**Why do I believe in the importance of these types of scholarships?**

When I began my UAV journey in 2014, it was my participation in a GeoInformatics Conference where I heard about drones for the first time. I learned about the possibilities in surveying and mapping with this technology.

I highly encourage Geoinformatics students in Nepal to apply.
Application deadline: July 12th
