Race Day vs. Next Day:

Rune Hana from Norway 🇳🇴 : Completed the Everest Marathon in 5 hours 18 minutes, securing 1st place among over 200 foreign participants from 35 different countries.
Anisha: Ran an amazing race, feeling satisfied with her performance and proud of how she pushed herself throughout.
Me: Struggled through the final stretch due to knee pain, but still managed to finish the race, overcoming every challenge along.

After three days of rest (acclimatization) in Dingboche at 4,410 meters, I’m back on the trail toward Everest Base Camp, making two overnight stops along the way. I’ve been carrying my 14.5-kilogram backpack all the way from Lukla and as I climb higher it feels heavier—like a huge rock inside it😂😂.
Over the next two days, I’ll take it slow, enjoying the trails and the breathtaking views. I’ll spend one night at Everest Base Camp, and the following morning, we’ll begin a swift 42 km descent back down to Namche🏃🤞🏻

Training for the 42-kilometer Everest Marathon at 5,000 meters is a tough but amazing experience. Every breath feels harder in the thin air, and each step takes effort. As you run along the rocky trails, Mount Ama Dablam stands tall in the background, its sharp, beautiful shape always in view. The cold mountain air, the sound of your feet on the path, and the huge peaks around you make it feel almost unreal.
