The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter extends its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy on the tragic loss of Nirmal "Nims Dai" Purja and the members of his expedition team in the avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan.

Nims Dai was more than a mountaineer โ€” he was a global icon who put Nepal on the world map through his extraordinary achievements, breaking records once thought impossible and inspiring generations of adventurers, guides, and travelers alike. His legacy has been instrumental in showcasing Nepal's rich mountaineering heritage and the courage of its people to the world.

On behalf of the entire PATA Nepal Chapter Family, we extend our condolences to the families of Nims Dai and all the climbers who tragically lost their lives.

We stand in solidarity with the mountaineering and tourism fraternity in mourning this profound and irreplaceable loss. Their courage, passion, and contribution to the world of mountaineering will always be remembered.

We pray to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed souls, and strength, courage, and solace to their bereaved families during this time of immense grief.๐Ÿ™
