It is hard to feel tired in a classroom when the person speaking has stood on top of Everest and Manaslu.
Our lead guide Sabin Bhattarai is sharing his stories from 8848.86m and 8163m with the team today. He is talking about what it actually takes to work at those heights and the lessons he brought back down with him. It is a lucky day for the crew to learn from someone who has actually been there and done it twice.

Continuing our In-house training with a session on global warming by Mr. Anish Dahal. We talked about why Nepal’s mountains matter so much globally and reviewed a case study on the Broad Peak incident. The team also shared the real changes they’ve personally observed while out in the field. It was the kind of session that really makes you think about the places we work in every day.

Back in the classroom for Day 1. 15th sessions of doing this and there’s still so much to learn and discuss. There’s a great energy in the room today as we get into our first few sessions. It’s going to be a busy, but this is where the real work starts.
