One of the most popular trekking destination: Gosaikunda....

Some of the facts about Gosaikunda:
1. A Lake Born from a God’s Trident: According to legend, Lord Shiva struck the Himalayas with his trishul to cool his burning throat after swallowing poison.
From that divine blow, Gosaikunda was created — a lake said to hold the power of purification itself.

2. Frozen for Half the Year — Yet Spiritually Alive: Gosaikunda stays frozen for nearly 6 months, turning into a silent white kingdom of ice.
But even in that frozen silence, thousands of pilgrims believe the water still carries blessings, waiting beneath the ice.

3. The Lake Actually Moves Every Year: Scientists say the lake’s shape and water level shift naturally due to glacial melt and underground springs.
It’s a sacred lake that literally changes its form over time — just like a living spirit.

4. A Pilgrimage That Tests the Soul: Reaching Gosaikunda means crossing steep cliffs, thin air, and brutal weather. During Janai Purnima, pilgrims walk for days barefoot or fasting, believing that one dip in Gosaikunda will wash away a lifetime of sins.

5. A Place Where Heaven Feels Close: At nearly 4,380 meters, Gosaikunda sits above clouds, forests, and most of the world. On a clear night, the stars reflect on the lake so perfectly that it feels like the sky and water are mirroring each other — a doorway between Earth and the divine.

Some of the unknown facts about highest peak of the World Mt.Everest (Sagarmatha)...

1. Everest Is Still Growing — Even Today: Everest isn’t a fixed mountain…
It rises a few millimeters every year as the Indian plate pushes into Asia.
The highest point on Earth is literally climbing higher with time.

2. The Jet Stream Sometimes Hits the Summit: At Everest’s peak, winds can reach 190 km/h — strong enough to rip tents, lift rocks, even push climbers off the ridge.
Sometimes, the jet stream dips so low that the summit looks like it’s smoking — but it’s just snow being blasted into the sky.

3. The “Death Zone” Starts at 8,000m — and Everest Lives Above It: Above 8,000 meters, there’s so little oxygen that the human body slowly dies, even while resting. Everest’s summit lies entirely in this Death Zone. Every step is like breathing through a thin straw, and every minute is borrowed time.

4. The Bodies of Fallen Climbers Remain Forever: Because of extreme cold and thin air, Everest preserves everything — even people. Many climbers who perished decades ago are still there, their bodies frozen in time, becoming landmarks on the way to the top.

5. Everest Was Once at the Bottom of the Ocean: This might be the most unbelievable fact. The highest mountain on Earth was once under the sea.
You can still find marine fossils and seashell-shaped limestone near the summit — proof that Everest rose from the ancient Tethys Ocean millions of years ago.

Annapurna is a section of the Himalayas in north-central Nepal, including one peak over 8,000 meters — Annapurna I (8,091 m). Some of the facts about Annapurna that you may didn't knew.
1. The Mountain That Takes More Than It Gives: Annapurna I may not be the tallest, but it’s the deadliest of all 8,000-meter peaks.
2. The Only Himalayan Land Where the Mountains Feed the Fields: Unlike other frozen Himalayan regions, Annapurna’s valleys are alive with crops.
3. Home to the Deepest Gorge on the Planet: Between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri runs the Kali Gandaki Gorge, a chasm so deep it could swallow entire skyscrapers — nearly twice as deep as the Grand Canyon.
4. A Land Where Gods and Mountains Speak: Every trail whispers ancient legends. Villagers believe the peaks are living deities, and avalanches are their voices.
5. A Journey Through All Seasons in One Trek: In a single trek around Annapurna, you walk from tropical jungles to frozen deserts. You’ll start among banana trees and end beside glaciers — all within a few days’ walk.
