This is Sita Thapa, she grew up near Lakeside, a tourist area in Pokhara, Nepal.
Sita learned how to swim in the lake close to her house at a very young age which was highly unusual for most Nepali girls. At that time there were no female river guides in Nepal, but Sita wanted to become one. It was a dream she had for a long time but she never had the opportunity to learn.
In 2008 she met Inka ( ) who later became her kayak instructor and mentor. Soon she helped Inka teach more Nepali women and in 2012 she was part of setting up the company Himalayan Adventure Girls Himalayan Girls

In context of nepal. Women were generally subordinate to men in virtually every aspect of life. So this kind of video and documentary will inspire a lot of women and upcoming generations that women's are also capable to do works like this. Corona times !! Two weeks of sheer breathtaking views, breathing, living, learning and teaching about the Himalayan giants with two young girls from was our first high altitude experience, and also experiencing the extreme weather conditions, four days of non stop rain and then camping over snow and ice at the altitude of 4900 mts. Despite not able to cross over the Ganjala into Kyangjing but was able to be on top of it 5201 mts. with jaw dropping views 360 degree. Special thanks to Helga Maria for sponsoring these two young girls and our high altitude trainers Ang dai.
Can’t wait getting back up again soon. “Addicted now”.
