In an extraordinary display of resilience and mountaineering skill, the Imagine Nepal and Elite Exped. team achieved the summit of Mount Kanchenjunga at 00:12 AM local time on May 20, 2026. The fixing team had departed early morning (19.06.2026) with the goal of reaching the summit by afternoon, however, deep snow severely slowed their progress. Despite the arduous conditions, the fixing team persevered and successfully reached the summit opening route to everyone. Heartfelt congratulations to each and every member of the team for this remarkable achievement, and profound gratitude for your relentless hard work and dedication.

On May 18, 1956, Lhotse was first climbed.
Today is Lhotse Platinum Jubilee
Exactly 70 years later, today, three members of our team climbed Lhotse, celebrating its platinum jubilee. Mountains are climbed by brave climbers, not merely strong ones โ€” and that saying holds true. Anja arrived at Lhotse Base Camp in early April and waited there until the routes to Camp 1 and Camp 2 were opened. As soon as the route to Camp 2 was opened, she spent two nights there even before the Sherpa team had set up the camp. The same was at Camp 3, she ascended right after the ropes were fixed, spent the night there, and fully prepared herself for the summit. Today, choosing the perfect day, she reached the summit and completed her 13th 8,000-meter peak, leaving only Shishapangma to complete all 14 peaks without supplemental oxygen.

Best wishes to our Kanchenjunga Expedition Team. Today, the team will head to Camp 3. The Sherpa team is ready to fix the remaining route to the summit. We hope to reach the summit on May 19th, or if not, then on May 20th. All members are excited for the summit push, and the strong Sherpa team is confident they will make it to the top on time.

Yesterday, the team successfully summited Mt. Everest, and most of them returned safely to Camp 2. Today, they arrived back at Base Camp, where some of the team members had lunch before proceeding to Kathmandu. This evening, three of the team members returned to their home countries. ๐Ÿ”๏ธ IMAGINE NEPALโ€™S FIRST EVEREST EXPEDITION Group REACHED THE SUMMIT.

On 13 May 2026, Imagine Nepalโ€™s first group of 2026 Everest expedition reached the top of the world โ€” 29,032 feet above sea level. Sixteen climbers from Imagine Nepal stood on the summit between 10:38 and 10:48 AM Nepal time, including six international climbers from Norway, Canada, and China, and our incredible Sherpa team.

The season had its challenges, but every time the mountain pushed back, our team pushed harder. When the summit route wasnโ€™t fixed, our Sherpas stepped in โ€” climbing to the South Summit without support and making the summit possible for every team on the mountain today.
If there is the will, even three people are enough.
