Land travel between Kathmandu and Pokhara update!

On the Prithvi Highway, the road subsided in the Galaudi area of ​​Dhading on 9th October Friday 2026. The road is expected to reopen on Saturday at the earliest or Sunday.
Traffic movement has been completely halted after a roughly 100-meter stretch of the road developed cracks and a 20-meter section subsided on Friday evening.

However, "back-cutting" work on the subsided section began early this morning. The Department of Roads has stated that the road could reopen within eight hours, provided there are no complications.

Those planning to trek to Annapurna can opt to take a flight from Kathmandu. Various airlines operate flights from 7 AM to 7 PM every day
