The tragic incident on Broad Peak has left the entire mountaineering community deeply saddened. Our hearts are with all the climbers, Sherpas, support staff, and their families during this incredibly difficult time.
Search and rescue operations are still ongoing, and we sincerely pray that everyone who is still being searched for is found safe and that hopeful news reaches their loved ones as soon as possible. Our thoughts and prayers remain with every person affected by this tragedy.
In light of the current situation, and with safety as our highest priority, we have made the difficult decision to conclude our K2 expedition from Camp 3. Our entire focus is now on bringing all of our members and Sherpa team safely back to Base Camp.
The mountains will always be there, but no summit is ever more valuable than a human life. We pray for the safety of everyone on the mountain and hope that every climber returns home safely to their loved ones.
We also extend our deepest respect and gratitude to the search and rescue teams for their tireless efforts. May everyone still missing be found safely, and may hope prevail in this difficult time.
