Anyone who knows Local Nepal definitely knows what Titaura is…..
Titaura- mixture of sweet, sour, salty or hot or mixture of all those flavors made from different local fruits is one of the popular food item in Nepal which can easily be found in Local Nepali Market.
The lady in the picture came all the way from Ramechhap just to sell these spicy Titauras & some homemade pickles in a month long Shrawan Fair that is held every year in Doleshwore Mahadev, Bhaktapur – one of the most powerful and famous shrine of Shiva . It was the only Titaura stall in the fair which makes her stall more attractive and busy whole day . Visitors easily get caught by the spicy & colorful home made Titaura and varieties of home made pickles while making their way to the temple.
The lady renting room nearby the fair area just to sell these food stuffs . Nepalese are still crazy for their local food. aren't they? Believe it - these Titaura and pickles are mouth watering…. Seems your mouth is watering already ;)
