Today’s walk took us up to Swayambhunath, and we caught something special. 🕯️
​While we were exploring the stupa with our group, we ran into a local Newari bhajan session. They were singing "Kun Mandir Maa Jaanchhau Yatri" (In which temple are you going, traveler?), a classic hymn by Laxmi Prasad Devkota.
​It’s one thing to see the architecture, but hearing the local community keep these traditions alive really changes the atmosphere of the tour. These are the kinds of moments you can’t exactly script; you just have to be there to catch them.
​Glad I could share this experience with today’s travelers.
