Eighteen-year-old Nima Rinji Sherpa from Nepal has become the youngest climber to summit all 14 eight-thousanders. He was welcomed like a hero in his homeland, with thousands of people gathering at Kathmandu’s international airport to greet the young climber, as reported by “The Himalayan Times” and other Nepali newspapers.

Nima Rinji experienced a “triumphant return.” Among the cheering crowd were family members and supporters of the 18-year-old. He had just returned from Tibet, where, along with his climbing partner Pasang Nurbu Sherpa, he reached the summit of Shishapangma, which stands at 8,027 meters, last week.
