Mustang in Lonely Planet’s Top Three Regions to travel in 2013
Internationally renowned travel guidebook Lonely Planet has listed Nepal’s Mustang as one of the Top three regions in Best in Travel 2013. It says that it is a last chance to see ‘forbidden kingdom’ as the completion of a road connection Mustang to China in the north and the rest of Nepal to the south will make all the difference to this remote region. “Nepal which is being repeatedly listed as a favorite destination in the Lonely Planet and CNN speaks the fact that the effort that we have put together for the promotion of Nepal’s tourism has been paid back handsomely,” says Aditya Baral, Director, PR and Publicity and Spokesperson of Nepal Tourism Board. Having listed in both Top Regions and Best value destinations for Best in Travel 2013 series, Nepal is undoubtedly a favourite destination to be watched in 2013, says Mr. Baral.
Other destinations feature in this categories are Corsica, France, The Negev, Israel, The Kuon, Canada, Chachapoyas & Kuelap, Peru, The Gulf Coast, USA, Carinthia, Austria, Palawan, the Philippines, Inland Sea, Japan, and Campania, Italy.
Earlier in November this year, Nepal has been listed in Lonely Planet's "Best value destinations" for 2013, in part of its "Best in Travel" annual series. In CNN website quoting Lonely Planet, it writes, "With visitor numbers steadily rising, Nepal remains a tremendous option for budget travellers. Nepal is not only the best-value spot for Himalayan hiking, it must be a contender for offering the most astonishing rewards for the least upfront investment of anywhere in the world.
