First Russian Women to climb Everest Without Oxygen

A huge congratulations to Nikol on an extraordinary achievement, becoming the first Russian woman to climb Everest without supplemental oxygen.

Nikol reached the summit on 27 May with Nimsdai, demonstrating exceptional strength, determination, and resilience. Climbing Everest is a remarkable challenge in itself, but doing so without oxygen takes the difficulty to an entirely different level and requires years of experience, preparation, and mental fortitude.

This was also a special milestone as it marks Nikol’s 25th expedition with Elite Exped. Over the years, she has achieved incredible success, including completing the 14 Peaks, the Seven Summits and the South Pole with us.

After successfully climbing Manaslu without oxygen last year, she has now added Everest without oxygen to her growing list of world class achievements.

Congratulations to Mingma David Sherpa, Elite Exped Director and Member of Parliament, on his successful summit of Mount Everest on 27 May.

His unique “Parliament to Summit” project has been a remarkable success. Despite an extremely demanding schedule and limited time available for the expedition, Mingma David demonstrated exceptional strength, experience, and determination by summiting Everest just nine days after departing Kathmandu.

This achievement is particularly impressive given the compressed timeframe of the expedition. Drawing upon years of high altitude experience and a distinguished mountaineering career, he once again proved why he is regarded as one of the leading figures in the mountain community.

With numerous records, pioneering ascents, and achievements already to his name, this summit adds another remarkable chapter to an already extraordinary journey.

The entire Elite Exped family is proud of this accomplishment and congratulates Mingma David on yet another successful Everest ascent. We wish him continued success in all his future adventures and endeavors.

Congratulations to Tejan Gurung, one of our Elite Exped Directors, on an incredible double summit achievement of Everest and Lhotse.

Tejan successfully summited Everest on 27 May, followed by Lhotse on 28 May, marking another outstanding accomplishment in his mountaineering journey.

The entire Elite Exped family is proud to have such a strong and inspiring leader within the team. Having already completed all 14 of the world’s 8000m peaks and 6 out of the 7 Summits, with only Denali remaining, this achievement further reflects his dedication, experience, and passion for the mountains.

At just 17 years, 1 month, and 28 days old, becomes the youngest Brit to summit Mount Everest from the South Side. He stood on the top of the world on 27 May at 09:20 AM, marking an extraordinary achievement at such a young age.

This journey reflects determination, resilience, and the courage to chase big dreams. We are incredibly proud to have supported Gabriel on this expedition and to witness him achieve both his dream and a historic record on Everest.

Another extraordinary achievement by our amazing client Razvan Barsan.

He summited Mt Makalu on 25th May, completing the Triple Summit of Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu in just 4 days and 23 hours.

This is a true demonstration of endurance, determination, and high-altitude excellence.

A huge congratulations to Razvan, together with the incredible support from Teemba Sherpa and Tenzing Sherpa, whose dedication made this possible.

Update from C4 on Everest from founder/expedition leader :

“Currently I’m at C4 with the Elite Exped team. Due to the heavy winds yesterday, we decided not to push for the summit for safety reasons. The summit push will now continue today.

So far, all is good (family and loved ones, no need to worry). We have myself, .g and the rest of the crew here looking after the team properly from the front. The team is doing fantastic, and everyone remains strong and positive.”
