City of cultures & traditions, Panauti is one of the oldest in the Kathmandu valley with plenty of temples, public resting places (patis), courtyards, and so forth, most of them are built with terracotta. The entire rural township with its unique architecture proves the craftmanship of medieval time. The town has a lot of festivals too, and some are unique in its own kind. Apart from historic setti

ng of the town, great families are waiting to welcome you to their humble abodes as a part of Home Stay program. If you are looking to know Nepal and Nepalis more intimately, this homestay program is just the thing for you to experience. There can be no better way to get a deeper insight into the Nepali psyche and gain a better understanding of the local customs. But, keep in mind that you certainly will not get the kind of modern facilities you might be used to back home, or the amenities that star hotels provide, you can most definitely look forward to being welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. All these Home Stays are run by the by the women for the women. “Panauti Community Homestay” is their initiative to empower all the womens of the town. It is really not so hard to get to Panauti. If this seems really a difficult task for you just contact us and we will arrange a private transfer for you.
