Ethical Trekking Nepal was established in 2012 and is run by Krishna Acharya, who has worked as a trekking guide for almost 20 years. Krishna also works with the Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TANN) to promote local home-stay accommodation and take part in rescue missions. This has included rebuilding communities after the earthquake in 2015.
