विक्रम संवत् १६४१ देखि १६६४ मा राजा प्रताप मल्लको नाबालक छोराको निधनले उनकी रानीलाई परेको वियोगको शोकका कारण विक्षिप्त बनेकी थिइन् र धेरै समय बितिसक्दा पनि सामान्य जीवनयापन र राजकाजमा नफर्किएर एक्लै टोलाएर बस्ने गरेकी थिइन् । मृत्यु भनेको कसैको नियन्त्रण नहुने क्षण हो भन्ने यथार्थलाई राजाले कैयनपल्ट बुझाउन खोजे पनि रानीका आँखा ओभानो नभएपछि राजाले एउटा जुक्ति निकाले । राजा प्रताप मल्लले नाबालक छोरा गुमाएको त्यस वर्षभरिमा राज्यमा मृत्यू भएका नागरिकहरूका आफन्तलाई गाई सहित दरबार अगाडीबाट रानीले देख्ने गरि जात्रा निकाल्न आह्वान गरे । उक्त दिन यसरी निकालिएको जात्रा अहिलेको काठमाडौँ दरबार स्क्वाएरमा प्रदर्शन गरिएको थियो र उक्त नौलो प्रदर्शनीले सबैको ध्यान तानेको थियो । आफ्ना आफन्तजन, प्रियजन गुमाउने धेरै परिवारको सदस्यले उनीहरूको सम्झनामा जात्रा निकालेको देखेपछि रानी मृत्युको शोक आफूलाई मात्र नपरेको बरु आफ्ना जस्ता छोरा, आमा, बुवा लगायतका अन्य पारिवारिक सदस्य गुमाएको पीडालाई सम्मानसहितको सम्झना गरेको अनुभूति गरिन् । राजाले उक्त जात्रामा विभिन्न ठट्टा, चटक र व्यङ्गहरू पनि समावेश गर्न जनतालाई प्रोत्साहन गरेको हुँदा रानीले उक्त कुराहरु हेरेर सम्पूर्ण पीडा बिसाएर फोहोरा छोडेर हाँसेकी समेत थिइन ।
