In the jungle, deer are just as important as tigers. Without enough deer, there simply cannot be enough tigers, because deer are one of their most important prey species.

That is why maintaining healthy deer populations is essential for a balanced and thriving ecosystem.

Nepal is home to three different species of deer. This beautiful animal is one of them.

Every species has its role in the jungle from the smallest herbivore to the mighty tiger.

1000 days without rhino poaching
We were almost forgetting about it… but yesterday marked 1,000 days without rhino poaching in Nepal! (probably also Elephant, Tiger and Leopard)
Hooray for everyone who is working every day to make this possible!
This is again a fantastic achievement for Nepal and for the conservation of the greater one-horned rhinoceros. It is the result of the hard work of park authorities, the Nepal Army, conservation organisations, local communities, informants and many others who continue to protect Nepal’s wildlife.
1,000 days without a rhino being killed by poachers. What an achievement!
But the work continues. Zero rhino poaching does not mean zero threats.
Today, we celebrate. Tomorrow, we continue protecting.
For Nature. For People. For Planet.

International Elephant Day – Celebrating one of Chitwan’s most remarkable animals

Alongside the tiger and the rhinoceros, the elephant is one of the most talked-about animals in Chitwan, Nepal. We even have an Elephant Breeding Centre in the area, as well as several elephant stables that can be visited. And every year, we honour the elephant with a dedicated elephant festival.

The elephant is a powerful and remarkably intelligent animal, with talents and abilities that humans still do not fully understand. But however impressive, and sometimes even gentle, an elephant may appear, it remains a wild animal that, just like a rhino or a tiger, can be extremely dangerous.

When they are young, elephants are irresistible: playful, curious, and sometimes they even seem to pick up human-like behaviours.

Elephants are also used for tourist rides in Chitwan. At Nepal Dynamic Eco Tours, we do not recommend this. We are a 100% animal-friendly organisation and believe that wild animals should be respected for what they truly are.

For us, the elephant is a beautiful, intelligent and fascinating animal that we prefer to admire from an appropriate distance, in peace and with respect for its natural behaviour.

Let’s celebrate elephants —> not ride them.

Our information board is ready for another season. It was carefully repainted by one of our staff members. This way, we reuse the same board every season, which is wonderfully sustainable, of course. The information board is back in its place, ready to welcome new guests and provide information to those who are still looking for the right answers. But a board is only a board. You can learn so much more by simply stepping inside. There is always someone ready to provide you with the right information and help you find what you are looking for. So don’t be shy, we will welcome you with open arms.

The Small Wonders of Chitwan

When people think of a jungle safari, they often dream of tigers, rhinos, or elephants. But some of Chitwan's most fascinating residents are much smaller.

Insects may be near the bottom of the food chain, yet they are among nature's greatest engineers, masters of camouflage, and incredible survivors. From brilliantly coloured butterflies to perfectly disguised stick insects, every tiny creature has an important role to play in the ecosystem.

At Nepal Dynamic Eco Tours, our guides don't just help you spot the big wildlife. They also introduce you to the amazing little creatures that make Chitwan National Park one of the richest and most diverse ecosystems in Asia.

Sometimes, the smallest discoveries leave the biggest impressions.
