Did you know that a homestay in Nepal is one of the most effective ways to support local communities? A homestay creates jobs and helps strengthen the local economy, but above all it gives both tourists and local people the chance to truly connect with one another on a deeper level.

Tourists get the opportunity to experience what everyday life in Nepal really looks like, while local families can learn more about the visitors’ countries, cultures, and way of life. In this way, a homestay becomes much more than just a place to sleep. It becomes an exchange of stories, traditions, experiences, and mutual respect.

Let’s take a moment to look back at last year, when we received the WWF Conservation Award, Nepals highest recognitions for people dedicated to nature conservation. It was a great honour to receive this award.

But receiving an award is not the end of the journey, it is the beginning of doing even better, of inspiring others to walk the same path, and of continuing to advocate everywhere for a better balance between people and nature.

So today’s message is simple:
With everything I do today, am I also doing something good for nature?

Back in the days, the hippie trail stretched all the way to Nepal. Even today, Nepal remains a place where you can truly be yourself. If you like wearing yellow, red, or black trousers, that is perfectly fine. If you enjoy dressing like people did 50 years ago, nobody will judge you for it. On the contrary, many Nepalis see it as something colourful and enriching that adds to the diversity of their country.

In Nepal, you don’t just encounter tigers, rhinos, and other impressive wildlife… sometimes it’s the tiny inhabitants of the jungle that steal the show. 🐛
This remarkable caterpillar looks like it escaped straight out of a Disney cartoon. You don’t even need to watch TV, just pay attention to where you step, or you might miss one of nature’s little wonders.
The nature of Nepal never stops amazing us, both big and small. 🌿✨

We always say to our guests: Don’t bring bright colors in the jungle, and what brings the elephant driver in the jungle?
A yellow umbrella 😀

Fortunately, not all European tourists are discouraged by the unrest in the Middle East. Belgian travelers continue to choose adventure, nature, and authentic experiences in Nepal.

Recently, two Belgians happily headed into the jungles of Chitwan for an unforgettable safari among rhinos, Tigers, crocodiles, and exotic birds.

The number of European visitors to Nepal has decreased by approximately 7.5% compared to last year. In April, around 700 Belgians visited Nepal, about 100 fewer than during the same period last year. According to the tourism sector, this decline is mainly due to the conflict involving Iran and the disruption of flight routes across the Middle East. At the same time, Nepal has seen an increase in visitors from other parts of the world, such as America and Australia.

Thanks to growing word-of-mouth recommendations and receiving a Tripadvisor Award, Nepal Dynamic Eco Tours continues to be a trusted name in Nepal’s tourism industry.

That is why we are already looking forward with great excitement to the next season: autumn 2026. With a new government, hopefully more stability in the world, and positive vibes flowing through Nepal once again, it promises to be a wonderful season.

We do not always look the jungle or the animals, sometimes we look how local culture is, and how their dances are.
