🔹️ Avondale Trial Results 🔹️

🚛 Today we traveled out to west Auckland and took two to the trials at Avondale for a first and a third.

🥇 'Tainted Love' 💞 won her 800m heat in the hands of Ace Lawson-Carroll and will now be made ready for a maiden race somewhere soon.

🥉 'Hot 'N' Spicy'🌶 ran a creditable third place in the hands of Sam Collet in a heavy track which wasn't to her liking. She'll benefit from today but will be a more stronger mare in the spring time.

Thanks to Avondale Jockey Club for the trials, the owners of both horses, and our entire team 💪🙏

BERENHARD gets the jobs done in Race 8 at Ellerslie in the Show By SkyCity Auckland 1400m in the hands of Tayla Mitchell, making it now 3 wins for the son of Belardo.

🐴🥇 A nice trial win today at the Avondale Jockey Club by 'OSAKA GIRL' ridden by Masa Hashizume. A lovely genuine mare by Staphanos who has been a work in progress for a while; but thanks to our great support team including her regular rider Dee as well as our physio Clare McGowan, she has continued to progress and do so well. Fingers crossed for a nice preparation ahead.🐴🥇

RALLY FOR RICKY 🐎

Today we want to take a moment to acknowledge someone who has been a very special part of our stable for many, many years — Ricky Cook ❤️🐎

Ricky isn’t just our farrier… he’s a close family friend and a great mate who has stood alongside our stable through countless seasons of racing.

For years Ricky has been there every single morning at the Pukekohe track, helping keep our horses in the very best shape; from the hot summer mornings to the cold, wet, and stormy winter ones. When something unexpected has happened, he has never hesitated to answer the call — whether that’s a Sunday, a public holiday, or an emergency when a horse needed him most. Time and time again, he has shown up without hesitation and never once let us down.

Ricky has always taken enormous pride in being the farrier for our stable and for our owners’ horses. His work has always been first class, and he treats every horse with the care, patience and professionalism they deserve.

What has always stood out to us is Ricky’s kindness and loyalty. He has always been incredibly fair with his pricing and has consistently gone the extra mile to make sure every horse receives the best care possible. He has always shown genuine respect and appreciation for our wonderful and loyal owners, and that is something we have never forgotten.

Right now Ricky is going through a very serious illness, and during this incredibly difficult time we would love for our owners, friends, and supporters to show Ricky the same care and support that he has shown our stable for so many years.

Berenhard gets the chocolates in Race 5 today at Te Aroha. Fresh up today over his favorite trip of 1400m aided by a lovely ride from Tayla Mitchell. Huge thanks goes to all the staff and support team

A nice run also by stable and ownership mate Annie Oakley, she will gain benefit from that and looks set for a nice prep ahead.
