At Scenic, we're consciously working towards positive change for the environment. In honour of Earth Day, these are three initiatives you’ll notice throughout your cruising experience with us that are designed to help Cherish the Planet:

• Sourcing Sustainably: As part of our sourcing sustainably guidelines, our teams are encouraged to procure local produce and prioritise local ingredients. On the Scenic Eclipse Discovery Yachts and Scenic Spirit on the Mekong River, we also have an on board herb garden allowing us to utilise our own fresh ingredients in our menus.

• Reducing our Waste: To help reduce single-use plastics on board, we’ve swapped your single-use plastic water bottles for a stainless-steel refillable water bottle. We also have a second life bottle program for our Mekong based Scenic Spirit which you can learn more about within the case study in our Impact Report.

• Smarter Fuel Choices: On our ocean ships, we use the lightest grade of commercially available marine fuel. Compared to other options this produces up to 95% less sulphur emissions.
