WOW. What an amazing and exhilarating Bathurst 1000 to witness at Mount Panorama. The day started sunny at 21 degrees and when the rain set in it dropped to 12 degrees. Aerial display by RAAF F35 jet before the race started. The race was full of action and multiple lead changes along with heavy rain for the last few hours.And the best thing of all - a Kiwi was driving when he won the race - Matthew Payne.

Day one at Bathurst 1000. Only practice racing but very exciting and the rain added extra spice. Another 3 days to go. Bring it on.

After organising multiple trips for clients over a number of years to Bathurst 1000, NSW, Australia finally experiencing it personally. Such a wonderful day and only day one. Another 3 days to go. Included a paddock pass as part of the entry ticket so able to wander around all of the pit crew racing teams. The rain spiced up the races too.

Our tour group is spending a few days in Darwin before we join our expedition cruise with Heritage Expeditions sailing from Darwin to Broome. Lovely warm weather and a great beachside location of our hotel.

Underground River at Puerto-Princesa Subterranean National Park, Palawan, Philippines.

Our first rainy day since we left NZ a month ago. We visited the Puerta-Princesa Subterranean River National Park and travelled by canoe through the underground river and cave system for about 2 kms (of the 8km total length). This is what this region is famous for and why we travelled here. Voted a New 7 wonders of nature in 2012 it was an amazing experience. Stalagmites, stalactites, bats, birds, fossilised bat guano, and so many different rock formations along the cave system. Lunch at a local cafe and then chilled for the rest of the day. Tomorrow we start our journey back home.

Today we travelled south by road from Lio beach, El Nido to our hotel in the Puerto Princesa region by Sabang Beach. Took over 5 hours. Once at the hotel enjoyed swimming in the pool and cocktails at the swim up bar.
