Lupin season is almost here! Believe it or not, despite being famous for these gorgeous purple and pink-hued flowers, they aren't native - although they've made themselves right at home across our South Island!
From mid-November to early January, places like Lake Tekapo, the Mackenzie Basin, and even around Queenstown will be scattered with these colourful flowers π
While they make for a beautiful photo, their introduction to NZ was so successful that they actually compete with our native ecosystems.
See them on our North & South and South Island only tours!
