Lupin season is almost here! Believe it or not, despite being famous for these gorgeous purple and pink-hued flowers, they aren't native - although they've made themselves right at home across our South Island!

From mid-November to early January, places like Lake Tekapo, the Mackenzie Basin, and even around Queenstown will be scattered with these colourful flowers πŸ’œ

While they make for a beautiful photo, their introduction to NZ was so successful that they actually compete with our native ecosystems.

See them on our North & South and South Island only tours!

Two weeks in New Zealand and you want to see it all? We've got the tour for you πŸ™Œ

The Grand Traverse Tour is a compact, two-island adventure, travelling 16 days from Auckland to Queenstown, featuring the landscapes you've been dreaming about.

You'll visit National Parks, UNESCO World Heritage sites, and see some of the most beautiful places on Earth... if we do say so!

A couple of tour highlights include:
πŸ“ Tongariro Alpine Crossing - hike 20.4km through Mars-like landscapes
πŸ“ Rotorua - where the earth bubbles & steam shoots from the ground
πŸ“ Queenstown - where 'adventure capital' isn't just a nickname
πŸ“ Mt Cook - New Zealand's highest peak, with those famous glassy lakes

The best part? You’ll save over $160 per night compared to similar tours - more adventure for less πŸ’Έ

While travelling from A to B on tour, most days you get to choose how you travel - take it easy and relax in the bus, or feel the wind on your face and cycle there instead! 🚴

Our Coromandel stop is the perfect example, with the scenic road ride from Hahei Beach to camp at Hot Water Beach.

This easy 8km coastal cruise follows the stunning coastline with expansive ocean views, and once you reach camp? Your reward is a soak in natural hot springs right on the beach πŸ–οΈ

We take our role of showing you the wonders of New Zealand very seriously - and that includes making sure you don't miss out on these iconic Kiwi treats 🀩

If you're heading to NZ, here are a few must-tries for your trip:

🍦 Hokey Pokey Ice Cream - vanilla ice cream with sticky, sweet honeycomb pieces. A true summer staple!

🍬 Lolly Cake - a Kiwi classic made of malt biscuits, lollies, marshmallows and rolled in desiccated coconut.

πŸ₯€ L&P - an iconic sparkling beverage! Lemon & Paeroa is lemony, refreshing and uniquely NZ.

πŸ₯§ Mince Pie - the humble meat pie. A bakery must-have in many flavour combinations, and perfect for lunch on the go!

New Zealand is home to some incredible native birds, and Oamaru's Blue Penguin colony is no exception!

These little legends, also known as Kororā (little penguins), are the world's smallest penguins at just 30cm tall - found only here and in Australia 🐧

As one of our optional tour activities, you can observe their nightly routine after dark. Watch as they return from a day of fishing and make their way up onto the beach and up the stone ramp, while expert guides share facts and insights into the lives of these sweet creatures! ✨

Available on our Total Aotearoa, Grand Traverse, Summer Blast & Southern Light tours.

Christchurch is the start and end point for a number of our tours – but before you rush to jump on tour, or wrap up your holiday too quickly, stick around for a couple of days to explore what’s on offer!

Some of our top recs in the Garden City:

🌷 Hagley Park – Over 400 acres of gardens, flowers, lakes, and walking paths to explore. Bring a blanket, some snacks, and a good book, and while away a relaxing afternoon.

🌷 The Terrace – Set on the banks of the Avon River, The Terrace is a lively hub of eateries, bars, and boutique shops right in the CBD. Wander, taste and soak up the atmosphere.

🌷 Hike or Bike the Port Hills – If you’d like to stretch your legs, choose one of the many tracks and trails for panoramic views over the harbour.

🌷 Christchurch Adventure Park – If you’re after a thrill, look no further than the ziplines, mountain bike trails, and scenic chairlifts set about the city.

The Blue Pools Track features the iconic swing bridge that hangs above the icy blue waters of the Makarora River. Enjoy the easy 1-hour stroll through native forests and take in the stunning views up the gorge.
