A superb young dry (3.2 g/l residual) Chenin Blanc from Nga Waka - fresh and vibrant with aromas of lily, pineapple skin, light saline notes and vanilla. The palate lighter than many Vouvrays it still has added complexities from 30% of the maturation in seasoned French barriques for 5 months. Flavours of mineral, light lees, apple crumble, pineapple, quince and pear. Perfect for some natural jumbo Pacific Oysters or Chicken Maryland.
A w**e to mature and honey up, but with a crisp backbone of acidity already easy to drink and pair with flavoursome chicken, seafood or lightly spicy oriental cuisine.
