At the end of the first quarter of 2024 I just wanted to do a quick check-in and remind myself of the journey I am on. 2023 was a tough one both personally & professionally. In July we lost my dear Dad and my mentor Nicola; both very suddenly. They have both left a huge hole in my life but everyday I am reminded of the lessons they taught me, especially in my professional life. As a small business the cost of living is real and clients near and far are wanting my advice on how to make their hard-earned money go that bit further. Clients deal with me only - Anita Gatley Travel/Wedding Travel” is one and the same. This year I have continued to work in an admin-role at Dandos Joinery (3 days a week) as well as still trying to rebuild my travel-business post-Covid. July '23 also saw me celebrate 30 years in the travel industry. Romance is still my niche and a change of title to Romance/Luxury Travel Specialist became a small but important change. I’m learning something new all the time and I delight in sharing what I know! I am already feeling so much more positive about my business and setting some pretty audacious goals!

The support of my husband, Paul, and our kids Katelyn, Nicole & James has been unwavering in spite of their own busy lives. Paul underwent shoulder surgery a few weeks ago and is still recuperating and has some changes at work.

To the family/friends I don’t always get to catch-up with "thank you” - you know who you are and a text out of the blue makes my day To my travel industry colleagues who I share this journey with I value your support & friendship. To the clients who continue to book with me and the couples & clients I am yet to work with I can't wait to share my passion.
