Here's the update: eligible New Zealand ordinary-passport holders can enter China visa-free for eligible purposes for up to 30 days, under the policy effective through 31 December 2026. So this Christmas, I'm taking travellers through Shanghai's festive skyline, the Great Wall, the Terracotta Warriors in Xi'an, and into Xi'an's New Year's Eve celebrations as the city lights up. 16 days, departs 22 December.
