Chai stall in Varanasi

Tucked away in a quiet alley, next to our hotel, a tea stall in Varanasi is a microcosm of the city's vibrant spirit. As the sun rises over the Ganga, the stall comes alive with the soothing aroma of brewing tea leaves and the gentle chatter of locals gathering for their daily cup. Amidst the clinking of terracotta cups and the warmth of the early morning sun, strangers become friends, sharing stories and laughter over steaming cups of chai. From scholars to vendors and travelers, the tea stall is a democratic haven where all converge, suspending their differences in the comforting ritual of tea-drinking, and savoring the simple joys of human connection.

These lovely flower strings are crafted with beautiful jasmine flowers, either tied individually or grouped together to create a lovely garland. Flower stringing is a cherished tradition in South India, where flowers are gently threaded together using a traditional fiber from banana plants. Jasmine flower symbolises purity and grace. Each string showcases a delightful mix of colors, bringing joy and vibrant beauty!
