"If you do nothing else in Auckland, but walk the City ...BOOK THIS TRIP!
Although getting picked up at 5:15am is not my favorite way to start any day, it was well worth it.
The Hot Water Beach, hike down to Cathedral Cove, the climb to Paku Volcano were all breathtaking. (Yes, you need to wear appropriate shoes and layer your clothes). We were lucky enough to be there mid-summer and the weather did not disappoint!
**But the key to this outstanding excursion was really our guide, Rachel.
She was extremely knowledgeable, sharing so many wonderful insights about her country, it's culture and customs. She also made us all feel like family - checking to see if anyone needed a bathroom break, or to stop to get a beverage and carefully outlined each phase of the trip.
We were in NZ for three weeks, visiting both islands and traveled by air, train, car, bus, ferry, gondola, catamaran, sailboat, motorcycle, e-bike, and river raft. This excursion was hands down the most fun we had. Thank you."
