Warning when Travelling with Power Banks.
Restrictions - this isn't just Air NZ . it's all airlines!



Air New Zealand wishes to advise agents of the implemented restrictions to carrying powerbanks on all Air New Zealand flights, for travel effective immediately.

The powerbank restrictions are as follows:

Limited to two per person not exceeding 100Wh each.
Must be stowed:
In a bag under the seat in front or
In a seat pocket or
On one’s person or other designated location
Must not be stowed in an overhead locker.
Must not be used to recharge or power another portable electronic device during: taxi, take-off or landing.
Must not be recharged using inseat/inflight power while onboard.

As we near the end of 2025, I want to extend my deepest thanks for your support, trust, and kindness throughout the year. From my family to yours, we wish you a peaceful Christmas and a New Year filled with moments that warm your heart and adventures that inspire your soul. Where will your next journey take you?

This year has been especially bittersweet for us. After 13 years in my purpose-built office at 17 Sunny Crescent, a place filled with memories, conversations, and dreams planned, that chapter has now come to an end. And after 29 years, we have also said goodbye to our family home. Closing the door for the last time was emotional, but it also marked the beginning of a new and hopeful chapter.

If you’re a British citizen living abroad and planning travel to the UK, new rules mean you may need to take action before your next trip.



From 25 February 2026 British expats and Dual nationals must enter the UK on a valid British passport.



Using a second nationality passport to re-enter the UK will no longer be permitted. Even showing an expired British passport as proof of citizenship will not meet the new requirements.



British travellers MUST ensure their UK passport is renewed and valid – many expat Britons who have replied on their second passport will now need to renew their British passport to re-enter or reside in the UK.



Also from 25 February 2026, ETA becomes mandatory for non-visa nationals. Travellers from 85 countries including New Zealand, Australia, the United States, Canada and many European nations will not be able to legally travel to the UK without an ETA once enforcement begins.



Although the ETA system has existed since 2023, these rules have not been enforced until February 2026.
