The Piha Library has been operating since 1959, providing a library service to the people of Piha, Karekare and Anawhata.

The Piha Community Library is an independent library, run by volunteers and a part-time manager, to serve the Piha, Karekare and Anawhata residents, on the wild West Coast of Auckland, New Zealand. It is run by a registered charitable trust, the ‘Piha Community Library Trust’, and staffed by volunteers and part time paid manager. Situated at 19 Seaview Rd, next to the Campground in the heart of Pi

At the Piha Community Library our aims are:

To provide an excellent volunteer community library service. To be responsive and relevant. To match our collection to the requirements of our community.

Every few weeks, Maureen rolls in with a car full of kindness. 💛 From beautiful knitting to bags of groceries, her generosity keeps making a difference.
A huge thank you to the Piha Community Library for their ongoing support. 🧶💚

It really is a community coming together — donations help make it possible, Alberto buys wool for the knitters and buys groceries, for our pantry and others generously give their time to sew, knit and finish the beautiful pieces. Thanks to all the fabulous knitters Jan,Mary,Eileen,Lucia, Lesley and Maureen
