What’s the Best Comfort Zone for a Tap?

Convenience and flexibility are the goal for any tap whether it’s a bathroom, kitchen or wash hand basin. But how can you work out the best combination of convenience and flexibility for your needs?

To make their taps both beautiful AND practical Hansgrohe tailors their taps to come in multiple different heights to fit every wash basin.

Their design team are obsessive. To compliment usability every tap is fastidiously design with a ComfortZone in mind. This means that the angle of the water streaming from your Hansgrohe tap has been meticulously calculated to ensure there is ample space to wash (everyone hates it when you can’t quite fit your hand between the basin and the tap right?). They know there is no chance of irritating splashback when the water hits the basin.

A medium ComfortZone works best in a bathroom wash basin as it allows plenty of space for things such as brushing your teeth or washing your face whereas a small ComfortZone is better suited to say a guest room ensuite shower room where its main use could be washing hands.

Hansgrohe has strived to provide the perfect balance between form and function in all their taps and this is what sets them apart.

Axor Tap Coatings give you SHINE

All Axor Tapware is coated by a process known as Physical V***r Deposition (PVD) which leaves a brilliant, robust and low maintenance finish so you know have an exclusive special finish.

Knowing this, we can confidently say Axor mixers will stay as new for years.

Each mixer tap, being chrome or one of the many available colours, goes through a special process called Physical V***r Deposition (PVD). This creates a coloured coating that promises to look beautiful and be easy to maintain for years to come.

PVD thin-film coating is a process in which a solid material, often a metal, is vaporised in a vacuum and deposited, atom-by-atom, onto the surface of the tap. This material may be combined with nitrogen, oxygen, or a carbon-containing gas to form compound materials. This process forms a thin, bonded, metal or metal-ceramic layer on your the surface that greatly improves its appearance, durability, and function.

Due to the way it is applied PVD coatings are proven to be three times harder than chrome plating and five times more durable than powder coating.

To maintain that stunning, unmistakably Axor, brand-look merely wash with hot soapy water and briefly rinse after to remove any residue and your PVD coated product will come up looking just like it did the day it was made.

The New Standard.
The design of the toilet has remained unchanged for years, stagnant, waiting for something new. has seen this and bought the average toilet into the 21st century with their revolutionary rimfree design. The key advantage is in the design. Where there is no rim, no undesirable deposits can form making a much more hygienic and better smelling toilet. This saves you from arduous cleaning and from using harsh cleaning chemicals.

A Greener Flush
While in development a goal for the finished product was to be as environmentally friendly as possible. To begin they targeted water consumption and got the flush down to a mere three litres. They then refined their patented flush guide, in place of a traditional rim, which channels water symmetrically around the bowl which ensures an even flush and no chance of soiling. As it is so efficient at cleaning itself you no longer have to use those infamously harsh and dangerous cleaning chemicals, which in turn means that said chemicals are no longer being released into the environment.

Let’s talk about your kitchen sink - is it the hub of activity in your kitchen? Where all the action happens? Hansgrohe’s new patented range of stainless steel sinks, with their innovative design is your perfect solution.

With a widened edge you can integrate anything you like into it by simply using a punch. Once you have cut the benchtop hole to size, install whatever tapware you like into your sink and truly make it your style.

Take a look at these photos showing the stainless steel gussets around the main mixer for structural strengthening. These in turn allow for a deeper bowl and straight sidewalls, making the new range perfect for any kitchen task like washing that big roasting dish or merely rinsing a cup.
