We are pleased to announce that David McGonigal has joined the Flow team as a Senior Associate based out of our Christchurch office. David is a transportation planner with a career history spanning 30 years in both the private and public sectors in the UK and New Zealand. He brings a wealth of expertise across a range of disciplines from transport strategy through project planning and development to implementation. Recently he has worked on several business cases for transport infrastructure projects and brings a practical knowledge to project development having led the contractor team for the North Canterbury Network Outcomes Contract. David is looking forward to assisting clients solve their transportation planning challenges throughout the south island.

We’re delighted to announce that Sharmin Choudhary has joined the Flow Auckland team as a Senior Principal Engineer. Sharmin is an experienced engineer and design manager, with strong history of transport planning and transport engineering across a broad range of transport projects. Her experience spans business cases, cycling and bus priority improvements, public transport interchanges, roads and intersection design, passenger transport investigations, analysis and design, cycle network planning, traffic safety, and town centre streetscapes projects.
Sharmin is passionate about working with clients and project teams to solve complex problems, developing robust cases for investment in transport systems, engaging stakeholders from early phases of infrastructure development and taking them along the journey. She enjoys leading challenging projects, developing self and team capability, enabling all to meet their full potential.

We are pleased to welcome James Georgetti as a Transportation Planner to the Flow team. James joins us after 4 years at Auckland Transport where he worked on the business cases for Airport to Botany Rapid Transit, the Short-term Airport Access Improvements programme and the Manukau and Māngere East Cycling projects. James also assisted with the delivery of the new Puhinui Station and AirportLink bus service, focusing particularly on delivering great customer outcomes. James is passionate about creating a more equitable and sustainable transport network, delivering quality public and active transport choices that benefit more people and encourage a low-emissions future for Aotearoa.

We are thrilled to announce that Phil Harrison has joined the Flow Auckland team as a Senior Associate. Phil has a wide experience in many transport planning and engineering areas that started as a cadet with the NZ Ministry of Transport, then North Shore City Council before moving to the UK, where he worked on some unique projects like the Canary Wharf development and planning the London 2012 Olympics. Since his return in 2009 he has played a lead role in shaping Auckland’s transport, his highlights being AMETI Panmure and Eastern Busway; Northern Corridor Improvements; corridor studies for the Fiji Roads Authority; Additional Waitemata Harbour Connections IBC; the AT Road Safety Programme Business Case and Connected Communities. Most recently, he was leading the Northwest Bus Improvements detailed design. Welcome Phil !

Into our 5th week of Auckland Level 4 lockdown and we want to give a HUGE shout out to all of Flow’s staff and clients. The Flow team is still supporting our wonderful clients, who are in turn supporting us, which has meant, yet again, that we haven’t needed to reduce hours, take the wage subsidy or lay off any staff
