The Ho**er Valley Track is officially back on our Mt Cook tours 🎉

It officially opens tomorrow, reconnecting one of New Zealand’s most iconic alpine walks.

At 189 metres long, the new bridge spans the Ho**er River and means the full Ho**er Valley Track will once again be accessible to guests on Cheeky Kiwi's Mt Cook day tours 🙌

After more than a year, the Ho**er Valley Track is returning to our Mt Cook day tours from Queenstown, complete with a brand-new 189m suspension bridge across the Ho**er River.

And it’s not just any bridge… it’s officially New Zealand’s longest suspension bridge 👀

Guests joining our Mt Cook day tours from Queenstown get 3 hours to explore Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, giving you time to complete the full Ho**er Valley Track when conditions allow.

Joining a Mt Cook tour from Christchurch? You can still walk the new suspension bridge during your 2 hours at Mt Cook 🙌

Did you know...?

Before Cheeky Kiwi Travel became one of New Zealand’s leading small-group tour companies, we started with private tours for airline crew on short layovers.

Under Crew Adventures, our founder Michaela Reissmuellerova began creating personalised New Zealand experiences for crew who wanted to make the most of their time in Aotearoa - built around local knowledge, premium service and authentic journeys.

In 2018, Michaela and co-founder Mark Rigby turned that approach into Cheeky Kiwi Travel: premium small-group tours led by expert local guides, designed for travellers who want to see more than the standard tourist trail.

And that same approach still shapes every Cheeky Kiwi journey today.
