With full hearts, we offer Oliver Grace (“Ollie”) — one of Muriwai Beach Horse Treks most loved and iconic Clydesdales.

Ollie has been part of our family for over 10 years, and this is not a decision we make lightly. He is a truly special horse, and we are committed to finding him a home that reflects just how much he means to us.

✨ The Horse
Ollie is everything you dream of in a Clydesdale — kind, steady, experienced, and beautifully natured. He is as close to bomb-proof as they come and has safely carried riders of all ages and abilities. Over 8 years of trekking experience.

Confident and independent
Loves to lead and or cruise at his own relaxed pace at the back
Exceptionally quiet and trustworthy
A true gentleman to handle in every way
He is not an arena or competition horse — his heart lives on the trails. Ollie thrives exploring, climbing hills, wandering beaches, and being part of an adventure.

He travels easily — a total professional but does need a lot of personal space. He’s a big boy!!

Ollie has been meticulously cared for his entire life:

Excellent feet (on a strict 4-week barefoot cycle)
Regular dental care - he has a great solid mouth
Great to handle for farrier, dentist, bodyworker, and easy to wash/bath clip etc
Sound, strong, and comfortable in his body
No known health issues

Because of how special Ollie is, we have very strict requirements:

Experienced, confident horse owner only
Must have your own land (no grazing arrangements sorry)
A genuine one-on-one forever home where he will be a priority
Someone wanting a lifestyle horse and companion, not a project
We will only sell to a home that we truly believe is right for him.

One of our beautiful mares here with her homebred foal at foot — and back in foal again to our stunning Southland Iolas Shire stallion. A seriously exciting Thoroughbred × Shire cross in the making.

What an extraordinary weekend at Kumeu A&P ✨
We had the most incredible time at the Kumeu A&P Showgrounds this weekend, proudly competing in the Clydesdale ring — an event brought to life by New Zealand Auckland Clydesdales, a collaboration between myself and Kellie Sharman from Sandstone Estate Equestrian Centre

Our darling Sienna, braving the parade aboard the stunning and well-known Stallion Donnybrook Mark (“Lucas”) 🖤

Sienna had the absolute privilege of riding Lucas while Kellie, his owner, led him through the parade — and what a moment it was. Thank you Kellie for trusting our little equestrian to ride on your very special boy!

In front of huge crowds, music, flags, kites, and an electric atmosphere… they both handled it with absolute grace.
Sienna was so proud — and took her role so seriously.

You could see just how much it meant to her. A little girl, doing a very big job, and loving every second of it.

The Kumeu parade is more than just a showcase — it’s a living window into our history.

Led by the pipe band, with the mighty Clydesdales walking proudly through the crowds, followed by tractors, it tells the story of how our country was built — on the backs of these incredible horses.

While times have changed and machinery has taken over, these horses remain such an important part of our heritage.
They are powerful, gentle, and deeply cherished — and events like this are so important in keeping their legacy alive.

Our girl Izzy getting some much needed education 😊 Izzy was our first foal that we breed here at home and so she’s pretty special ❤️ I’m wrapped with the upgrades she’s received and now she’s ready to be turned out again for some more maturing! Thanks Trail Blazers Horses and Handlers!!! You nailed the assignment!

If your looking for some help with your horses or looking to get someone to start them under saddle I strongly recommend you speck to John, with many years experience and mostly working with wild horses he’s got a tonne of knowledge and skillset as well as a great way and presence with the horses 🙌🏻

4yo Isabelle was brought to us to be lightly started 🪶

Her owner doesn’t plan on bringing Isabelle into full work until she is 5–6 years old and requested light work only.

Horomatangi, the sunshine king ☀️
