To our valued clients, families and friends heads up for NZ citizenship updates as follows. Reach out if you need our assistance with your applications 💗🙌

A citizenship test will be introduced from late 2027 as part of the citizenship by grant process.

Work is underway to prepare for this change. There is currently no change to the citizenship process and applicants must still meet eligibility requirements.

From 30 April 2026, income and sponsorship thresholds will increase for the Pacific Access Category, Samoan Quota, Parent Category Resident Visa, and Parent Boost Visitor Visa.

These are routine updates to reflect changes in wages, benefit settings, and living costs in New Zealand.
