The full fleet was out this weekend and some special visitors came out to play 🐬🌞

One of the beat things about kayaking in the Abel Tasman National Park is we don't rely on wildlife to have a magical day on the water - but when we do it puts the icing on the cake. This pod of bottlenose dolphins was doing laps in the Tonga Island Marine Reserve 👌❤

This sunny weather has me reminiscing on those warm days paddling in Awaroa Lagoon.

Starting to think about your summer holidays? This coming season will be number 6 for us 🥳- and we still think visiting Awaroa Lodge and exploring this piece of paradise by sea kayak has to be up there with the best experiences New Zealand has to offer.

Couldn't ask for a better start to the season! Six kiwis walking the Abel Tasman coastal track stopped in for an afternoon half day paddle before moving on to the Awaroa DoC hut. We were greeted by a pod of dusky dolphins before I even finished the safety briefing, followed by the usual fur seals and little blue penguin. We even managed a nice cruisy sail back towards Awaroa Head.

Tried stand up paddle boarding? Awaroa is an AWESOME place for it. Some days you can see eagle rays cruising in the shallows, schools of bait fish and the usual array of sea birds - all hanging out in the crystal clear waters of the Abel Tas.
