We have arrived at the Port of Ushuaia in Southern Argentina. We have one more night onboard and then an early getaway tomorrow for a bus trip around and then our charter flight back to Buenos Aires.

A glorious crossing of the Drake Lake and now we are entering the Beagle Channel, on the left (Port) is Chile, on the right (Starboard) is Argentina. 13 degrees now heading into Ushuaia

We are currently crossing the Drake Passage headed for Ushuaia in about 12 hours. Our Captain called it the Drake Lake as there are very few waves and I’m sure no one on board will have been sick. We have rain for the first time on our trip. I am sad about getting off the ship tomorrow and saying goodbye to new friends but all good things come to an end. It’s been the most magical and wondrous trip I could have ever hoped for. Memories to last forever.

Well to cap off Antarctica, this takes the cake. We had an absolutely magical Zodiac cruise this afternoon, stopping several times to enjoy the peace & quiet and the fabulous reflections as there was no wind. The sea was like oil.
Had the opportunity of holding an ice sword (see photo) and then Tom our Zodiac Expert surprised us all with champagne whilst we took in our last views of this absolutely spectacular continent.
What a wonderful experience this has been and if visiting Antarctica is on your bucket list, book it now!!
