Attune Travel We craft luxury tours of New Zealand that cater to our guest’s individual tastes and budget. Private tours are from 2-8 people.

Whether that’s adventure, great cuisine, or simply natural beauty, we design a custom itinerary that is expertly attuned with our guests passions and interests. The tours are all custom based on your group's interests and preferences. We recommend a minimum of 15 days/14 nights for either a North Island tour or a South Island tour. For a combined tour we recommend at least 22 days/21 nights. Tours

should be booked a year in advance to ensure the availability of lodging and special activities. Email us and we can set up a call to discuss it!

We had fun swimming with the Hector dolphins off Akaroa (just outside of Christchurch). These are found in several parts of New Zealand and are a protected animal due to their dwindling population. They are doing well in this location with their numbers growing over the last few years. They're quite small with a distinctive black fin on their backs.

I admit an unnaturally high level of photo activity when I'm flying over this beautiful country. This is the gorgeous Marlborough Sounds while cruising over the Cook Strait headed to the North Island.

Ski season is just about on us! This is a nice shot of a groomed trail at Mt Hutt just 90 minutes from Christchurch. The nice thing about skiing in the Christchurch area is once you come down the mountain, the weather can be very warm and temperate, great for other activities. Equipment rental is easy, but probably a bit more low-key on a weekday.

The Observatory Hotel in central Christchurch is a great addition to the 5-star hotel lineup in the city. Making great use of a heritage building in the Te Matatiki Toi Ora, The Arts Centre, this 'Gothic Revival/Victorian Influenced' design is well-known component of the city's architectural history.

The Cape Kidnappers fairways are amazing subjects to photograph. This 'top 50 in the world' course is just outside of Napier, with great eco-tours, spas and wine tasting. A fun destination for golfers and their partners! Ask us about tours from April-September - low crowds and low cost, a great combination.

Mt Taranaki, next to New Plymouth, is a stunning reminder of New Zealand's relatively recent volcanic past. There's lots of activities on and around the mountain for hiking, biking, climbing and camping. You can see it from miles away, and it's the geographic marker for the southeast corner of the North Island.

One of the interesting natural phenomenon is New Zealand are the Glow Worms. It would be more intriguing if glow worms were something other that carnivorous gnats luring their prey with their bioluminescence! But it's true. There are some caves that feature tours of this interesting and beautiful display. Waitomo on the North Island and Lake Te Anau on the South Island are probably the most popular.

The beautiful mountain ridges flying in to Milford Sound. It's a beautiful flight and one of the best reviewed activities in New Zealand.
